A will has no legal effect until a court admits it to probate. Court filing fees vary from county to county. Lawyers' fees vary from lawyer to lawyer. To find a probate lawyer in Jefferson County, Texas, use the Find a Lawyer function on the State Bar of Texas website, inputting the name of the county and "probate".

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
