Found an old annuity in NC unclaimed property belonging to my deceased dad. I have 2 siblings, and he was remarried when he died in FL. Can I claim?

Wondering if I have any rights to claim any of an old annuity my dad left upon his passing. I found it in NC Unclaimed Property. His 2nd wife and he lived in FL when he passed. He didn't know her when he would have begun this annuity, doubt she is named. I have 2 adult siblings who I assume would be entitled to it as well. Next steps?

Follow the rules to apply, showing that you and your siblings are the heirs and only heirs (if you are). If your stepmother had been the designated beneficiary, the annuity would not have done to unclaimed property.
