How do I find out if my father has a will

My father just passed away and I have not heard anything from my stepmom since the passing and I want to find out how if he had a will and also how to get some of his belongings so I can have something to remember him by. Can someone help. He also lived in another state then me.

The only way to find out if he had a will is to ask your stepmother. You will have to get permission from her if you want some of his belongings.
