How do my parents add a codicil to their will?

Asked on Nov 08th, 2018 on Wills and Probate - Texas
More details to this question:
One sibling pays $50,000 as a loan and to add to the will - that sibling that paid $50,000 to them will get that amount back at the sell of home. How can that be a codicil ? Will all siblings need to sign? or will the parents just go in and have lawyer take care of it? also, does it need to go through court?

A codicil must be signed, witnessed and notarized just like a Will. It should be drafted by an estate planning attorney to make sure that it is effective and does not alter other provisions of the Will.   The application to probate the Will will then be an application to probate a Will and Codicil.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
