My 14 yo daughters father passed away on 12/28/2018. He had told her once that she would one day have everything he had . He was married at the time of his death and my daughter has inquired as to if her father has a will and was told it was in a safe deposit box. His wife refuses to tell us any details about the "said" will. I have checked and it has not been filed for probate. What rights does my daughter have as to seeing the will, and what are her rights if there really is no will............STATE of TEXAS
When a Will is filed for probate, it becomes a public document. Check the records of the probate court in the county in which your ex-husband died (It may be the county court or county court at law). Your daughter has a right to whatever the will states, no more and no less.
