More details to this question:
My husband made a will out in the late 1970 s after his 1st divorce, leaving his life insurance to his children in a trust. That insurance company was thru his work. Since then he has worked at several other mines and we have been married 14 years. Didnt find out about this til today. My name however in now on all his life insurance policy today. Is that will he made out over thirty years ago rule over our life insurnace we have today as a married couple. The will was made out in Kentucky and he has lived here in Illinois for the last 30 years. If so we will have tomake the needed changes immediately.

The age of the will should make no difference if he did not revoke it or write a new one.  However, if you are named as the beneficiary on his life insurance, that should not pass under the will.  It should go straight to the beneficiary, you.
