QUESTION

Last will

Asked on May 14th, 2018 on Wills and Probate - California
More details to this question:
My husband and I have a last will, and a living will. We have two children included. We have the original copy signed by the witnesses but my husband is being stationed somewhere else with the Marine Corps on Friday. We are also going with him. We would like to give parents a copy of the will because we are going to be about 2000 miles away. If I make a copy of the will with the signatures, is it still legitimate? Or do I half to have the witnesses sign a new copy?

Normally, only the original will is valid.  If you are moving to another state, you should make new estate planning documents in that state.
