length of probate

if no one contests the will how long could the probate last

Probate is when the will is registered or proven, so that part of the process should only take a few days.  Its the estate admininstration that takes longer.  I usually estimate 9 months, because that's how long the executor has to file the Inheritance Tax Return.  Some estates can take longer if assets have to be liquidated.
