Lost Will

More details to this question:
Sirs, My partner passed away at Thanksgiving,I was with her in Chicago in 2002 where she made her will.The lawyers office was a 5-10 min walk from the Drake Hotel,but I cannot remember the lawyer's name or address.I guess my question is,is there any way of finding out who who lawyer was?

Based on the facts you have stated, your memory is the best thing you have. Perhaps, walking the are around the Drake Hotel would trigger your memory regarding where the office is. Unfortunately, there is no repository for Wills. People do not file them anywhere when they are alive. I would expect the Will to be with your partners important papers. The only other place to look is the attorney's office.
