QUESTION

Mother died with no will; question about her car

Asked on Mar 24th, 2021 on Wills and Probate - Ohio
More details to this question:
My mother passed away with no will. I have possession of her car and possession of the title (still in her name). No spouse. I understand that her children would split her estate evenly. The issue is, my sibling has cut himself off from the family and I cannot find him. The car needs to be scrapped soon, as it is on my property and is an eyesore. I'm not sure what to do.

Have you initiated a probate estate yet?  There are specific legal procedures which must be followed and that may be able to address the issue.  I suggest sitting down with a probate attorney to review your case.   Best of luck.
