QUESTION

My dad passed away, his wife didn’t adhere to his will

Asked on Dec 27th, 2019 on Wills and Probate - Texas
More details to this question:
My dad died last April, he had his wife listed as the only beneficiary to his life insurance, but in his will we (his children) are the beneficiary’s to his belongings and money but doing sum research I understand that life insurance really has nothing to do with a will. She took all his belongings and we didn’t get nothing, not even a dirty sock of his. So I was wondering if there is anything we can do to hold her accountable for not adhering to his will because she is not in it at all.

If the wife was the executor of his Will and made no distributions to the people who the Will said should receive them, you can demand an accounting and then apply to the court to have her removed.  Please keep in mind that after paying the bills, there may have been nothing left to distribute.
