My inheritance check was sent to the wrong address.

More details to this question:
The law firm handling the estate has told me they are in the process of stopping the check sent to the wrong address before issuing me a new one. This process has been ongoing for over two months now. How long does this process usually take?

I would think about a week or two for a stop-payment and to issue a new check. Good luck.
