QUESTION

My question is about Mississippi Probate.

More details to this question:
We have land that was illegally sold with a fake deed. The person who made the fake deed to sell it was found quilty and convicted last year. We just recently found out the person who illegally bought it passed away and his estate was put in probate last August. The probate was put in the news paper in a different county we live in and the 90 days has passed. My question, Is there anything we can do to get the land back if we didn't know the estate had been put in probate?

Generally speaking, if the purchaser did not know it was fake, you can recover nothing from the purchaser but can sue the "seller" for the purchase price.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
