QUESTION

Ohio transfer on death vehicle

Asked on Sep 24th, 2020 on Wills and Probate - Ohio
More details to this question:
My brother passed away in July. I am the only surviving family left (no wife, kids, or other siblings) all that is left of his assets is a van worth $6000 with no title. I don't have the money for probate because I'm in remission from cancer and had to bury my son because of covid. But this van is taking up my driveway and need to get rid of it. How can I get a title to do that?

Contact your state Department of Motor Vehicles.  They should have a form which you can complete to transfer title to you as his heir.  You can then sell the van.
