Final parent passed away 4/22/16. Sister has power of attorney. copy of both wills state everything to be split 50/50. Can't reach sister but did have 2 communications with the lawyer she has for about 5 minutes each time. Now he is not responded. Property involved. What do I do next.

If you have the will, file for probate. If you do not, file for administration. That will smoke her out and the will.
