More details to this question:
My mom, a us citizen landed in Canada, passed away. She did have a will made up in Canada. She has a bank account in Canada and one in Michigan. Canada bank has set up a trust account for us using only her will. Us account wants paperwork from Court to give her executor authority to access her account here. No other assests are involved. Total estate account about $50,000. Do we need probate in Canada or us? Bank says they need ansalary form from us Court. What do I do? Where do I need to start?
