My mother passed 1/31 and I vaguely remember her mentioning one article on the porch she was storing for a friend but never went into details about it. 2 months later , after I've cleared debris and clutter in the yard the acquaintance says I gave away/threw away items that belonged to them. I've got my affidavit of heirship to the property and deed in my name now. Do they have a foot to stand on in this matter? I of course apologized but they aren't understanding they had time to retrieve their items but didn't contact me until 2 months after the person who agreed to store the items passed and the owner of the property changed whom didn't agree to it.
