QUESTION

Regarding lawyer charge

Asked on Jun 16th, 2021 on Wills and Probate - Rhode Island
More details to this question:
My brother is the administrator for my moms estate and hired a probate attorney. I was my moms caretaker and was on all her accounts. I called the lawyer to let him know I had posession of all her paperwork and asked about my claim for all her bills I paid. We did have a total of half hour conversation. My brother informed me that the lawyer is charging for these conversations. Does the lawyer need to notify me that he is charging for this time?

No.  The lawyer's duty to and the lawyer's bills go to the administrator, not to you.

This is general information. It cannot substitute for a personal consultation with an attorney. It is not intended to be legal advice or imply an attorney-client relationship.
