So recently my father died can a child whom has no proof my father is their father have permission to have him moved to a funeral home? Or is this a lawsuit. Me and my 4 sibling were raised and all our birth certificates signed by our father. One of my siblings have already passed. Once my father died someone whom claims my father is theirs but no proof had him removed to morgue without notifying any of my fathers children. The funeral home did not either. When me and my siblings found a funeral home we called the morgue to have him removed long and behold they no longer had my father and couldn't tell us where he was. I live in maryland and me and my dads 2 surviving children have signed waivers to have him cremated somewhere else. But my question is the other funeral home and the person claiming to be my dads child with no proof be sued for this.
You can bring suit. The court may require a paternity test. All this costs money. A successful judgment does not mean you will collect either money or your father's remains.
