My great grandmother died about 15 years ago and in her will her money was suppose to go to my grandmother. If my grandmother died it was suppose to go to me. My grandmother died 4 years after my great grandmother. I was about 13 years old when my grandmother died. Now my great great aunt was made executor of the will and did not give my grandmother any of my great grandmothers money. She kept it all to her self. So what i am wondering is if i would be able to sue her for keeping the money. Its been about 13 years since my grandmothers death, i am now 26.
I'm not sure I have the chain of events right. It sounds like the cause of action does not belong to you, but instead belonged to your grandmother, and if she did not enforce her right to take form your great grandmother's estate, that was up to her, but now that she has died you can't enforce that right for her. Besides, the statute of limitations would require that the lawsuit be brought sooner than 13 years after the date of death. I'm sorry.
