What forms do I need to file with the courts to get a personal representative letter even though I have a living trust in place. RBC Wealth Management (stock investment firm) is requiring the court appointed documents even though I sent all of the trust documents. I am the trustee of the trust, but I live in Georgia. All assets of the trust defined by probate code 13050 is under $150,000.

Speak to a supervisor at the stock investment firm. If you are the trustee and you have presented the trustor's death certificate along with a copy of the trust naming you as successor trustee, there should be no need to obtain anything from the CA court. That you live out of CA should make no different to the investment firm abiding by the trust's terms.
