More details to this question:
My husband's grandmother passed away. She had 3 daughters, who are all still living. She was also remarried. Her husband has told her daughters that that is his property and if they want anything from it, they can buy it from him. She didn't leave a will. Are her daughters entitled to any of their mother's property? She just passed away on 4/4/20.

In most states, yes. The daughters should ask a local probate lawyer to help them file an heirship application.
