QUESTION

What kind of lawyer do we need?

Asked on Mar 15th, 2013 on Wills and Probate - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My aunt is terminally ill and wants to designate my brother as power-of-attorney. She also wants to create and establish a will. Our family is trying to fulfill all her wishes and are arranging things while we still have time. What kind of lawyers do we need? A family lawyer or an estate lawyer? Really uncertain about what to do. Please help.

I would suggest an elder law attorney.  Preferably one that can come to the house and meet with your aunt. you should have a power of attorney, an advance medical directive specifying your aunt's wishes, and a Last Will and Testament.  Feel free to contact my office, and if I can help you I will, or will recommend someone that can.
