Am I supposed to receive wage benefits while off work until the claim is denied?

More details to this question:
I was injured on may 27th. I've been off work since then. I finally had a doctors appointment scheduled for June 22nd. My claim was denied today. I never received any wage payments while I was off work. Should I have been receiving payment until the claim was denied?
