Can I still receive workers comp if I didn't report right away?

More details to this question:
I was at work and was going to another line to work because our kine was down and we have to cross over machines usings ladders but they look like steps and I fell going down and landed in my right shoulder (which I found out later was a broken humerus) My supervisor was right there with me and even helped me up niether one of us reported it I finally did report did my statement and they sent me home that night and have been off work with no pay for a whole month.
