Was injured on very first day unfortunately at workplace in Ohio. Walked up onto a pallet to retrieve more product and foot got caught. Fell hard onto my right shoulder/arm hardest and hit my head. Tried to return to light duty but headache/dizziness too bad and only made it 6 hrs each day for two days. Ended up in emergency room and diagnosed with post concussion syndrome. My issue is my occupational health dr does not take people off work and the ER won’t take me off , stating it has to be actual employer. I’m way too dizzy and headache is still so bad that I am not even able to drive let alone work even light duty. No one will help me and I do not want to lose my job but I believe they will let me go if I cannot get a work excuse. My training supervisor was right beside me and witnessed everything. Was on her cell phone most the time. I’m so frustrated beyond belief
Yes, you should seek the services of a Worker’s Compensation or workplace injury attorney right away. Most charge on a contingency fee basis which means you don’t pay unless there is a favorable recovery. I suggest you consult your local telephone Yellow Pages to locate an attorney. Good luck.
