I need to know if we should do something about this injury at work

More details to this question:
My gf works in a deli and cut her finger pretty bad on the meat slicer when cleaning it. They filed the workers comp. But come to find out that when cleaning the machine they didnt have the cut resistant gloves required. After the whole accident. Am i or my gf able to file a law suit against her job?

Ohio law precludes lawsuits against employers for work injuries unless the worker can prove that the employer intentionally caused the injury with the intent to harm the employee.
