is there any financial help while I am waiting for workers comp to accept or deny my claim

More details to this question:
My boss sent paperwork a week later after I gave it to him. Two weeks later they needed different paperwork sent to workers comp. I've been off since July 2nd. And they just received my paperwork Aug 4th. I need to pay my bills. Is there any help?

No. If you have a claim filed with Ohio BWC, then you can contact the claim representative for status. Your employer has no obligation to help you. You can open an account at www.ohiobwc.com and get direct access to your claim so that you can at least see what is happening. Right now, you are in limbo and if your employer elects to dispute the claim, and he can file an objection for no reason at all, you could be waiting 6-8 weeks or longer. If you feel that you are being jacked around, then you really need to talk to an attorney who is a certified workers' compensation specialist.
