QUESTION

My job fired me, and never paid me my hours

Asked on Sep 26th, 2014 on Workers Compensation - Florida
More details to this question:
First, today i go into work to sign papers. I only got handed papers, told to read and sign, no discussion from my manager. They were termination papers. Reason for me being fired was because I was overheard talking about wanting to quit when I was upset about the hours i was receiving (only 5 a week, and I'm getting paid minimum wadge) What could i do about Unemployment maybe..? Also a few weeks ago, I picked up my check and I saw that I was missing 6 hours. Not sure what i could do about that legally, and yes i have mentioned it to my manager twice, and never heard a response. Only response I got was "you're not the only one, we will find out tomorrow morning" . I am already homeless and 18. I really need great advice on any action I can take! I live in FL as well.
