QUESTION
Not receiving paycheck even though I am off work on a workers comp injury
Asked on Mar 12th, 2015 on Workers Compensation - Tennessee
More details to this question:
My supervisor left me a voicemail (I still have the voicemail) ordering me to do a specific job. He said you will really have to put some muscle behind it to get the job done. I did the task and had to really push and strain to get it completed and as a result I have torn tendons and muscles in my shoulder. I have been off work for approximately 6 weeks and while they are taking care of my medical bills and physical therapy I have not received one paycheck, plus I am in excruciating pain. I am unmarried and have no money to pay my bills or even buy food. My family has been helping me pay my basic living expenses. When I contact the payroll department at my job she said she was told they were mailing me a check last week. I never received a check. I haven't been appointed a case worker or nor do I have a case number. I think they are trying to get out of paying me and I am concerned I will have to get a lawyer, which I can't afford. Please help

you need an attorney to help with your w/c case. there is no charge, you only pay if you recover a settlement. you should be receiving weekly checks while out of work by the dr.
i suggest you contact an atty asap.
thank you, jay stillman
