QUESTION

What is the approx. amount of settlement he should expect?

Asked on Jan 31st, 2018 on Workers Compensation - Florida
More details to this question:
My spouse was in an MVA while working as delivery driver. He was hit from behind by 2 cars. He did seek medical care with neck injury- surgery recommended. He does not want to proceed with surgery unless it gets more severe. He has continued to work doing home traction and medication. The doctor put him at MMI with 10% overall rating. The WC company is wanting to settle, which is agreeable with him. However, I want to make sure he gets what is fair. What should he expect approx? Thank you.

There is no answer to your question.  There is no formula for settling workers' compensation cases.  Settlements are purely voluntary.  The workers' compensation insurance company will look at what it likely will have to spend in the future on workers' compensation benefits if they do not settle and try to settle for less than that.
