Failure to report an injury, exposure or occupational illness/disease to the immediate supervisor within the aforementioned time period shall be grounds for denial. An exception to the injury or exposure reporting requirement shall be made if the circumstances of the injury or exposure are such that the employee does not have reason to know of the injury or exposure at the time it occurs and if there is independent evidence regarding the injury or exposure that supports making such an exception.
you have 30 days from the date THAT YOU REALIZE YOU HAVE an ainjury, that requires medical tmt,a nd that it is related to your work. if you didn't know, or didn't think it was serious, or caused by work, your time begins from when you are informed of these connections.
