If you were at work, then your employer should file report the claim to its workers compensation carrier. If the employer does not report the claim, then you should file the claim with the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission. You have two years to file such a claim with the Commission. If you were injured by a third party not connected with your employer, you may have a personal injury claim in addition to your workers compensation claim.
