Will I be safe asking for the maximum state statue compensation and get it during a workers comp hearing, without being represented?

More details to this question:
I live in Smyrna, TN and is soon scheduled for a mediation between me and the company's attorney before the actually hearing with a workers comp judge....I am not represented by an attorney...the company has already offered me a settlement of $5,000 which includes a 2% whole body impairment and the cost of closed medical. No Lost of wages for I continued to work. In my research, it states, plus I was told, to ask for 3x the amount the company's offers which would be $15,000, the max TN state statue amount for trigger finger, (my left index) because the company's always offers 25% less than what you can receive Will I be safe asking for 3x $5,000 and receiving it at the hearing without being represented? Thanks
