Would my husband have a claim for workman comp

More details to this question:
Since January my husbands supervisor has been harassing him on job and when we are home and he yells at him and when he took off time to get his mind right his human resource told him he needs to seek eap which he did and his supervisor knew of the appointments so ahead of time he told him he needed the next day off he yelled out loud no and others could hear it is constant on the job stress and harassment and when he gets home his supervisor shows up to still talk about work after hours and we have kids and they have seen the change his primary doctor saw the emails his supervisor have sent on company phone and the harassment and how my husband is now feeling she gave him medication and to take a month until he sees his psychiatrist my question is would he have a workman comp case with short term? not sure due to this happened at work at he is 45 with an outstanding work history never late or missing days his hr even said so and how damaging emails could be if gets out to media

In Virginia, a mental stress claim is only recognized as compensable under Workers Compensation if it is the result of a physical injury or a sudden shock or fright. Harrassment by a supervisor does not qualify. I am sorry I could not give you better news.
