But due to covid my business didn’t go as I was expecting . Then got an opportunity to buy one existing business and I did that . As I cannot work in US my business partner is handling it . I need someone who can assist me on work Visa . So that I can travel in and out and get my meetings done and check my business too
OK so if you traveled on a B visa, and bought a business, yes you're correct you cannot work because a tourist visa does not allow that. However you can change status from a B visa to an E 2 visa, or you could leave the country, and apply for an E2 visa in India, which would be good for two years, but you could renew that visa indefinitely. You should retain an immigration attorney here in Florida to assist you with the process. You are allowed to have a business partner that owns an equal number of shares that you have, even though that person is a US citizen. An Immigration attorney can discuss all the issues and steps that you need to take to Get permission to work for your business. Keep in mind that an E2 visa does not lead to a green card, but it can be renewed every two years indefinitely, provided that the business is making a profit that can support you and your family.
