My 21 yr old beat my step mom with a crutch and had his hands around her throat. We as a family plan to address this because she is making excuses for his behavior. He battles from so psychological issues that he has not been wanting to get help. Can we as a family take out charges against him so that he gets the help he needs without it turning into a felony or misdemeanor?
