QUESTION

Separation/Child support

Asked on Feb 07th, 2018 on Family Law - Kansas
More details to this question:
My wife and I are separating (she hasn't moved out yet) and I am wondering what to do. We both have talked and agreed for me to be custodial parent and both do not want child support? Is that allowed if we both sign an agreement stating we do not seek child support from each other?

seeking child support is a personal decision and is not mandated unless one parent really need it and the court orders it. You both can mutually agree to drop it. We can certainly try to help you evaluate your options. Feel free to give us a call or text for a free consultation. Thank You. Toll-Free 1-877-866-8665 Ahsan Syed, Case Manager
