Greetings, married or unmarried, both parents have equal rights to the child unless custody is established in court. If the father knows and he is on the birth certificate of the child, than he heas same rights as the mother. If he is not on the birth certificate, but he knows that the child is his, he can go to court, file for Paternity to establish that he is the father and than get himself on the birthcertificate and get involved in the child's life. You can only "reverse" a deed by doing a new one. If your siblings could prove in a court of law, that you obtained mom's signature on the deed by fraud or coercion, then the deed could be declared by the judge to be void. Your siblings can say what they want, actually getting a lawyer and proving this allegation in court would be alot of work. They would need a doctor to say mom was incompetent when she signed the deed. If your mom was competent at the time she signed the deed, you should not have a problem.... Read Answer

Depending on when the guardianship is issued, you may have to take one more legal step to have the power of attorney terminated. But it should occur in front of the same judge that gave you the guardianship. Also, as guardian and conservator, you may want to investigate what the husband did with your mother's funds. IF, the house was in dad's name and your husband's name, as joint tenants with right of survivorship, your husband owns the house upon the death of dad. If they were both on the dead as tenants in common, your husband owns half and the estate of dad owns the other half. Dad's will will determine who dad's half goes to.
