Signed a listing agreement with a broker to sell my company before he got it listed I sold it myself do I have to pay him commission

That depends on what the agreement provides.  Some listing agreements provide that the broker gets a commission no matter who sells the property; some that the owner can sell the property himself/herself without having to pay a commission.  There can be other variations as well.  Your rights depend on the contract you signed.
