More details to this question:
Hi, I am under an employment contract for a consulting company and I wanted to move out due to some personal reasons. I do not want to pay the penalty amount as I do not see it is required for the employer like them. I have faced a lot of problems while working with them. I joined the consulting company 6 months ago and they have 2 different contracts, 1) which ENDS in September where I have to pay $ 8500 as penalty if I leave the contract before that. 2) Which will START from October 2015 on acceptance of my H1B petition. I wanted to leave the consulting company in August 2015 and leave the country for good. Please suggest me the best option so that if I want to come back after 2-3 years, I will not have any problems.

These contracts are difficult to renegotiate. The employer is in the controlling position. I would try to negotiate a compromise.
