QUESTION

reneging on offer

Asked on Aug 29th, 2017 on Employment Contracts - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My daughter was offered a job @ a charter school in NY & accepted. She stated during interview that she was not certified, as well as other relevant info for job, but was still offered position. After sending in requested info & documents, she was contacted weeks later being told that she didn't have a job. Again, this is after being offered, accepted, pros/cons discussed, on top of her quitting her other JOBS! Does she have a case to sue? Thanks

Your daughter would have a difficult case to win. The burden of proof is upon her to prove what each side said. She would have a better case if this agreement had been in writing. Does she have any written documentation supporting her position ? Ed Dimon
