Sexual harassment

More details to this question:
I have been a victim of sexual harrassment and hostile work enviroment. I have never filed a complaint with HR because of retaliation. I got fire a week ago called the eeoc and florida comission which i havent heard back from yet. The owner wants to meet with me but I told him No at this time. Do I have legal rights since I'm not employeed there anymore?

There is a time period in which you have to file an EEOC charge, and then after making a timely filing, EEOC will then do their own investigation and you will be issued a right to sue letter by that agency such that you can bring a civil action against your employer. It is always best to speak with a lawyer about the various time periods that apply to your case, as every case is unique.    Stephen Black
