Cell phone users are protected from "robo-calls" by the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, which makes it illegal to place unsolicited telemarketing calls to a cellular phone.  The Act gives individuals the right to sue under certain circumstances.  When those circumstances are met, the consumer can recover up to $500 in damages for each call.  When the violation is intentional, as in when a telemarketer has been asked to stop calling, the court can triple the damages as a penalty.  So hypothetically, if this telemarketer had called your number 20 times in the last year, knowing that you did not want such calls, you might recover damages as much as $30,000. Your relationship with the company is probably governed by a contract.  The terms of the contract, supplemented and interpreted by applicable law, determine what each of you is required to do.  The way to answer your question would be to look at the provisions of the contract related to payment, and see what it says about timing.  A payment is due under a contract according to what the parties agreed to.  If a term was not specifically agreed to, then a number of different things could determine the answer, but in general if payment is by mail then it must be postmarked by the due date....
