I got caught shoplifting at Walmart and I was wondering how I could off or get it expunged off my record so that I can get a good job

Answered 13 years and 7 months ago by Simon Wynn Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Expungements
Typically, once a certain amount of time has passed you will be able to petition the court where the charge was and ask that the criminal record be sealed.  However, if you have more than one conviction, the state law may restrict your ability to get it expunged.  As I am not licensed to practice in Alabama, I strongly encourage you to consult an attorney who is licensed to practice there.   Simon W.
