Answered 9 years and 11 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Insurance
I would suggest that you go to the hospital patient accounts and talk with some person-to-person to find out what is going on. When you are talking with someone in patient accounts, they/you can call your insurance company and try to bring the two entities together to resolve this issue.... can a health insurance comapny remove your children under 26

Answered 10 years and 2 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Insurance
Your relationship with the insurance company is governed by the insurance policy that the insurance company has with you and your employer. You would need to contact the insurance company to find out the reason why they removed your children from the policy. Sometimes they will not allow coverage if they do not live with you or are not dependent on you. If there was any additional charge, you can ask the insurance company to reimburse you for the premiums that were paid that covered your children. Be sure that the payroll deductions are adjusted, if any, for the future amount owed.... Read More

house insurance

Your mortgage company likely requires you to have insurance.  Read any agreements you signed at closing with your mortgage company and/or contact them to discuss.  However, if it is mortgaged, they likely require you to have certain insurance coverage. NOTE:  This response is general in nature and should not be considered legal advice.  No attorney-client relationship exists or is formed by this response. ... Read More

Answered 13 years and 10 months ago by Sarah Reese (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Insurance
You should be able to list them as an additional named insured.  I would not think this would be a problem.  Contact your local insurance agent and inquire.  Best of luck. What is the next step of action if I filed an appeal for denied claims 4 mo. ago & still no response from ins. co?

Answered 14 years ago by Sarah Reese (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Insurance
I am sorry to hear of these problems.  Since you have tried calling and have received no response I would write a letter to the same department you sent the appeal letter to and explain what you have explained here.  Enclose again a copy of the appeal letter you sent and explain that you are awaiting a response and have yet to receive one.  I would send the letter by certified mail with a return receipt so that you can track it and will know what day they received the letter and who signed for the letter.  Keep pushing them and hopefully you will receive a response soon.  If you do not, I would contact a local plaintiffs attorney in your area for assistance.  It is best to communicate with insurance companies in writing so that you can proof of such communications.  Good luck.
