If your case was dismissed, assuming you are the defendant, you do not need to appear for anything further in that case.  You should double check with your court's docket to make sure the dismissal has been entered. Dismissal without prejudice simply means that the plaintiff can re-file the case later, if it is warranted and they so choose. Dismissal with prejudice means they can never re-file the case. If your friend has a job then you can file a petition to garnish his/her wages, or get a lien on his/her property.  You may also hire a collection agency or creditors rights attorney to collect on the judgment. A company i worked for gave me a company card. Accrued 32k and went out of business. This is now on my personal credit.

Many credit cards, most notably American Express , have you sign an agreement that you are liable for charges you make on company credit cards. If you were just an authorized user, then you can get it removed by challenging the entry. Experian lists authoized user even when you are not labile but will remove it if requested.   Good luck....
