Im on probation for a residental burglury i had caught a new case for a DUI their violating my probation what option do i have

Please contact and retain an experienced criminal defense attorney as soon as possible. A penitentiary sentence is normally the statutory minimum sentence for residential burglary in Illinois. You were either convicted of a lesser crime or were sentenced to a drug/alcohol treatment program as a condition for probation to be an allowed sentence for residential burglary.   Either way, being arrested for DUI while on felony probation is a very serious matter. Only an attorney familiar with your background, your prior charge and sentence and the facts of the case can best and fully advise you. The mere asking of a legal question on the internet does not constitute an attorney-client relationship and is clearly not a confidential conversation. Please retain experienced counsel. Lori G.  Please contact an experienced attorney as soon as possible. You have a finite period of time to file a petition to rescind a summary license suspension. The attorney that you have hired for your DUI case can advise you regarding this. Please contact your counsel immediately. Lori G. Levin Attorney at Law 180 N. I have a pending case of DUI. Can I leave the stateof Illinois? Before the court date?

Answered 13 years and 8 months ago by Lori G. Levin (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: DUI/DWI
If you are on bond, even a personal recognizance bond, for an offense in Illinois, you must receive the court's permission to leave the state. Please contact your attorney as soon as possible if you wish to receive such permission. If you leave the state without permission, you have violated the conditions of your bond and could be subjected to penalties.   This is meant to be a general question and not legal advice. Please contact your lawyer as soon as possible.   Lori G. Levin Attorney at Law 180 N. LaSalle, Suite 3700 Chicago, IL 60601 312-972-3756 levin@lorilevinlaw.com www.lorilevinlaw.com... Read More
