If you plead guilty on a DUI, canโ€™t you appeal the case in anyway?

Answered 12 years and 10 months ago by Francis Starr Springer (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: DUI/DWI
In short, yes you can appeal a DUI if you plead guilty. However, certain things specific to your case may prevent that. Do I face jail for a 2nd open container offense?

Answered 13 years and 6 months ago by Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)   |   9 Answers   |  Legal Topics: DUI/DWI

The most probable outcome would be a plea offer from the prosecuting attorney to Driving While Visibly Impaired. You might be placed on probation and depending on the judge who handles the case might be sentenced to some jail time. If you are placed on probation you could be eligible to get a restricted driver's license that would permit you to drive to and from work and drive to essential things but could restrict you from pleasure driving for the time you are on probation. The other thing you will have to deal with will be the secretary of state that may require you to pay special fees for several years to retain your driving privilege. In my experience there is no likelihood that the case would be dismissed. It would be helpful for you to hire an attorney who is experienced in handling DUI cases to assist you with this case....
