You don't need a sponsor for a tourist visa. Very few require that. Just go to the US consulate in Zimbabwe and apply for a tourist visa. You will have to show evidence that you have sufficient ties to your country that would incentivize your return home. That includes a job, real estate you own, family members etc. You also need to show why you're traveling here , how long you will stay and proof that you have sufficient resources. Don't say you plan to work or to even baby sit your brothers children. ( if any). USCIS will deny you. ... Read More

How do I go about receiving my inheritance if I have to go to college?

Answered 11 years and 10 months ago by Edward L. Armstrong (Unclaimed Profile)   |   4 Answers
Your grandparents have done what many other grandparents have done: put money aside for education. The best thing to do would be to contact the trustee of the trust fund to find out what the trustee would require in the way of documentation. Sometimes it might be a letter from the college in other cases the trustee might have to make tuition payments directly to the college. If there is no trust you should contact the personal representative of the estate (this would be the executor). In any event, the first thing you need to do is follow whatever direction the will or trust suggests.... Read More

As the host, you would be liable for everything illegal or harmful that happened to anyone. That includes violating state and local laws, failing to obtain required permits, providing alcohol to minors, failing to work with the utility companies to provide additional electricity and garbage service, failure to meet mandatory hygiene standards for restrooms, dealing with the inevitable illegal drug use, fights, sexual assaults, fires, drunk driving by those who attended the event, charges by the owner of the building, parking violations, etc., etc., etc. Some of these are minor violations and some are felonies with serious time in prison.... Can I use a movie trailer for an artist's show?

Answered 13 years and 5 months ago by Nancy J Flint (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
Probably not, without permission of the owner of the copyright in the movie trailer. Copyright law protects works of authorship that are fixed in a tangible medium of expression from being copied and publicly displayed without the owner's permission. A movie trailer would certainly be protected under copyright law. Additionally, the people who appear in the movie trailer have a "right to privacy" (or publicity right) that prevents the use of their images by someone else for commercial purposes.... Read More

It doesn't matter where you found the pictures. What matters is whether rights in the pictures can be transferred to you to use them on shirts. I am not sure what you mean by a "public domain website." I assume that you mean a site where photos are offered for "free." Even on those sites, you need to check the license on how the pictures can be used. Also, if you check the fine print, the website has most likely "disclaimed" any liability in case someone might sue you for infringing their rights by your use of the pictures. You know that the pictures are of a show on FX. Almost certainly, the FX show is not allowing people to use their pictures for free. You could check with the show to be sure. ... Read More
